The simple world of Verdandii

Hello all.
Well for about a week now I’ve been doing the weightwatchers points diet. So far I’ve done pretty well with losing 2lb. Which I’m most pleased about and I’m going to keep going. However there is one slight problem…

NO ONE HARDLY PRAISES/SUPPORTS ME AT ALL.

It’s mainly the parents what i’m poking the finger at and here’s why…
Ever since I was younger I was always bigger then the other girls. This didn’t bother me until I was about 12 and my mum started saying ‘lose some weight your getting to big’. At first it was bearable until these past few months I just couldnt take it anymore. All the time she is comparing me to other people saying ‘Your gonna be like that person’. Or she would tell me about her friends who were fat and say ‘It’s to late for her now’. She’s also been really cruel with me as well saying ‘You look like a tramp’ and ‘Don’t come into school looking like that and being that big. Lose some weight and maybe you can help at the school.’ This is when I offered to help her during the time I was free.

How can a parent say that to her child? Now there is ‘Cruel to be kind’ but she doe’s it in the worse way possible which doe’s not work. If she really wanted to help her she’d would say ‘hows the diet going?’ or ‘I’ll help you with making something’ but no it’s never like that is it? Also my dad’s on my case as well. Again never supports me…

At least Dan’s being a little supportive, but I wish he was a bit more though. Sometimes I think how can he love a obese girl?’ (My BMI is obese) but I guess you see them whats on the inside not the outside.

Also I’m annoyed with another thing, but it doesn’t matter.
Will write another one when I’ve calmed down.

As the title says, so many things to say in this little blog.
But first take a look at this:

He looks like hes posing doesn’t he? Also I think hes a damn pretty mantid considering his apperance and are known as the ‘king of mantids’. However due to Dan looking up www.bugzuk.com and seeing their stock, these guys were up for sale…Idolomantis Diabolica (Devil’s flower mantis) are considered one of the most rarest mantids to find and the most beautiful. This is one of every Mantis collectors most wanted mantid’s so not buying one is unavoidable. Luckily the guy has some in stock and is currently saving me one until I send him my payment. Until then, I have my vivarium set up Which I bought from Cold Blooded in Rainham which I’m most pleased about.

Speaking about Cold Blooded, if you live in Rainham, Essex or near and are a reptile/insect lover, I would suggest you check it out. This isn’t an ordinary pet shop as he keeps a Anaconda, A huge Snapping Turtle and even a Alligator. The shop is defiantly cared for and the owners are really nice. Highly recommend if your planning to get your vivarium and/or your reptile/insect.

So now the past few days. Well yesterday I went to Southend with Dan, my brother and his girlfriend Sharon. Our main attraction was the Sea-life centre and this was the first time I went in years. They kept a huge range of sea-life. From Sea urchins to huge sharks. The funniest fish we saw was this red fish who kept going to the surface with its mouth wide open. We then had the classic fish and chips before we headed back…in the rain.

Also I move in a few days! I am most pleased by this! Although so many things I need to sort out. Like insurance, making my new room all cleaned up ect. Its gonna be a good few years living with these guys, i’m sure of it. But from 1st July I need to revise again for Aug exams. It’s annoying but I need to do my degree, no matter how long it takes. So now I’m eating strawberries while Stef and Dan play Rock Band which I will join them later.

I hope this year will be ok.

Well in this post its going to be a mixture of anger, sadness and happiness. Sorry for not updating earlier, been doing a lot more then usual and got back to Reading 2 days ago. Although I’m heading back to Essex in 2 days time till the 1st/2nd July to move my stuff into my uni house. But first lets have the happy news.

I went to Chelle’s rock weekender last week and I have to admit I really enjoyed myself. However, instead of it being a rock weekender (moshing to heavy metal and chatting to folk while thinking My Chemical Romance needs to die in a fire.) it was more like Rock Band weekender. My boyfriend Dan decided to bring Rock Band over including his own widescreen HD TV and it soon became a hit of the night. The use of a guitarist, bassist, singer and drummer was very fun indeed and no one particularity cares if you sing badly or hit the drums wrong, except when your fail the song your playing or hit when the notes are way off. Rock Band kept playing into the night on Friday and Chelle decided to complain about it, since she needed sleep as she had glandular fever.

I also had the opportunity to use their pool. I do think their pool is awesome but its so damn cold but yet again refreshing. Whirlpools were obviously created and everyone likes a good whirlpool.

The party finished on Monday and I had a very good time. So thanks everyone for making it so. And btw Louisa, don’t worry about being drunk and declaring your love for Paul.

And now for the sadness. Well I found out my results and I was pretty close to passing. I passed Biology easy but Chemistry I nearly passed. Got 44% for one module and 47% for the other. Needed 55%. It’s a damn shame I didn’t get that grade, but I tried and I’m taking retakes at the end of Aug/beginning of Sept. Lets hope I pass this time!

And lastly, now for rage. Now this has been going on for a year, and the more I see it the more I RAGE. And I mean RAGE. So lets get one thing straight. Its not crappy ‘lolcats’. It is and forever will be ‘CATURDAY’. Caturday is win because it is the original and not ripped off by ‘ICANHAZCHEESEBURGER’ or ‘LOLCATS’. Also newfags (Yes I am a oldfag) ruined /b/ and right now Moot is going to shut it down cause of newfags. One last thing is ‘Icanhazcheeseburger’ and ‘lolcats’ are benefiting from this. So please people, stop calling it really shitty ‘lolcats’ and call it Caturday!; where every Saturday is caturday! (Originally). So now I have to start packing my stuff and move them for storage. Oh the fun, especially without boxes. I wish father said to me ages ago that he didn’t want to take my stuff back to Essex…

EDIT: Managed to get my hands on the chemistry papers I done in June which I’m pleased about. Now just need Math. And whatever you do, don’t buy Hotel Chocolat chocolate slabs, they will make you ill but taste too good to out down!

Before I actually start blogging, a little about myself.
My name is Katie Lazaro, and I’m a science student at the University of Reading, UK. I’m known for my friendliness and craziness (yet a little strange) among friends, as well as being slightly stupid at times. Interests include gaming (Not “heug liek ecksbawks” player) such as Team Fortress 2, NiGHTS (Yes very old game but I still love it) and Mario kart racing. I also like socializing and going out, even if its just for a walk or to the local town, I hate being kept inside 24/7. One last thing to mention is that I am a huge fan of photography, and planning to get a professional camera next month. I don’t expect my photos to be the best but at least i’m doing what I’ve always loved.
Also I’d like to thank Chelle (Who is a very close friend of mine) for getting me into wordpress. I used to have livejournal for a while before I gave it up, so now i’m gonna try this out. Hell, I may even turn it into a photography blog, it all depends.
So todays blog is going to be pretty bland, considering I haven’t done much today. But I shall tell thee anyway.
I Finally played some Wii for the first time in…months. Many months of being at Reading and doing other things has left this little machine getting dusty, so I thought I’d try a game out I got for Xmas (Mario party eight) and give the wii a true spin. At the moment the game itself seems pretty fun, although it tends to drag on after a while, which sucks. I’d say Mario is more of a people person game, and that if you got 1 or 2 more people it would be alot more fun. I intend to play some more games later such as Billy Hatcher (a very crazy, addictive game), Zelda: Twilight Princess and Wario Ware: Smooth moves.
Tomorrow should be alot more fun though, as its the rock weekender at Chelle’s house. The pool, BBQ and gaming should all be fun, fun and even more fun. Also friends I haven’t seen in ages (as they all moved to go to uni’s) Shall be there to. Although it starts today, I’m not intending to go till tomorrow, as i’m just going to chillax and stay at home this evening.
Thats all I’ve got to say my dears, so I shall possibly update shortly after the party or even on Monday, which Is results day…
I just hope I passed. 0_o
